FPA96 measures the power consumption at 3-phase asymmetrical loads and can therefore be used for all types of 3-phase power measuring within normal supply voltage variations. The supply voltage for the module and the measuring voltage are common. The supply voltage is measured directly while the current measurements are done via external current transformers with 1A or 5A nominal output, and thereby no limitations are to the amount of power, that needs to be measured. The module has both current- and voltage output, which by switches can be chosen to 0-20mA, 0-10 V or 4-20 mA and 2-10 V. Selection of transformer type and output range are done by digital inputs, and it is possible to chose a filterering of the output signal, so that the output gets more stabil, if it is nessary to measure very unstable loads. The module generates 1000 pulser per hour by 100% load, and these pulses are transfered to SO1 and the counter input. The user must scale the PLC or instrument to the required current transformers.
